MBD communications Robin Eggar

Robin Eggar – Principal

Prior to setting up MBD Robin was Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Winton Capital Management during a period when the company grew to become one of the world’s leading alternative investment managers. At Winton he was responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications and brand strategies to raising awareness of the company and its principal amongst global media and investors. He oversaw the company’s brand audit and refresh, and developed core messages and themes for a ground breaking UK advertising campaign. He worked with hedge fund trade bodies to produce industry PR policies and met with regulators, and legislators in Washington and Brussels.

Previously he advised on launch strategy and PR for the IPO of PartyGaming, which resulted in the online gaming company entering the FTSE 100. As Head of Offline Creative he was also responsible for the creation and implementation of advertising campaigns in the USA, and for launching the brand across Europe.

During a long and varied career as a journalist Robin wrote for major national and international publications interviewing leading figures in popular culture, trendsetting and innovation. He was an early adopter and commentator on many social and commercial trends. He has written 10 books on subjects ranging from fitness; adventure sports and the military to country music superstars and sixties sex gods.

In Ink (London) is run by Niki Natarajan who takes a unique coaching based approach to elicit a company’s message, voice and tone. Her clients have included an event driven hedge fund, two funds of funds (based in London and Geneva), a US mutual fund group, a managed account platform, a private investment office, an industry body and a technology provider.

For 12 years Niki was the editor and publisher of InvestHedge and has an unsurpassed knowledge of the global fund of hedge funds industry. She is an accomplished writer, conference agenda creator, panel moderator and speaker on communicating with investors.

The Brandscout Creative is a small design consultancy with a big company heritage. They provide branding and marketing strategy, brand identity, literature and web design, to companies who want to strengthen their relationships with their clients or redefine their place in the market. They also provide support services including photography and event/exhibition design.

Jacqui Sinnatt founded the Brandscout in 2010 after 22 years as Creative Director and Partner at the award winning design and branding agency Butcher & Gundersen. Her clients across both private and public sectors included: Chevron, Diageo, Legal & General, Shell, The Cabinet Office, John Lewis, the Department of Health, Mars Foods and Waitrose.
